Tapas Tapas Kitchen Twittering on Saturday Night!

Images of the dishes leaving kitchen on Twitter!

Tapas Tapas, a popular Spanish restaurant in Arthouse Square Liverpool, has been using the social networking site Twitter to post images of their special dishes leaving the kitchen. The Managing Director of the Tapas Tapas group, Michael Gledhill, was of the opinion that it is a great way for aficionados of Spanish food to get an insight into the more unusual dishes on offer from Spain.

"Twitter gives us the opportunity to showcase unusual dishes, in a way that would have been unthinkable in the past. Last weekend our Head Chef, Diego Hernansaez, posted images of some special Scallop dishes, as well as Langostines and Octopus just before they were served in the restaurant. There was some good interaction with our followers, with many of them sending us direct messages requesting the recipes. I think that anything which encourages people to try new dishes, which are also very healthy can only positive."

You can follow Tapas Tapas on Twitter - their username is @tapastapas. The recipes for several of these dishes are also available on the Spanish Food website.

Tapas Tapas is located in Arthouse Square, behind the FACT cinema in the heart of the Ropewalks area in Liverpool city centre. The decor is traditional Spanish, with legs of Serrano hams hanging from the walls, a solid oak bar and typical Andalucian tiles, which were imported from Cordoba. The building where the restaurant is located is a Grade II listed Georgian property which dates from around 1790, which has been lovingly restored to its former condition by the owners. The Head Chef is from Galicia, an area of Northern Spain which is reknowned for its seafood. The tapas are based upon those found in Andalucia, as the owner lived there for almost a decade and the Head Chef lived and worked there for many years as well. The restaurant was nominated in the "Best Local Spanish restaurant" in Gordon Ramsey's search for the best local restaurant in the "F-Word" TV show & was also awarded 5* in Liverpool City Council's last inspection for the "Scores on the Doors" scheme. Tapas Tapas is a must for those of you who visit Spain regularly and will remind you of being there if you are missing it at anytime!
