The Hollybush

John and Pinky Champion and their team have not only made the Hollybush an excellent place to dine, but have also allowed it to remain a popular meeting place for people of all ages, a relaxed atmosphere to catch up with friends and a welcoming setting if you’re popping in for a drink alone. It’s a buzzing environment that’s full of lively conversation and debate, and it offers locals and visitors alike a great big hug of a welcome.

For beer drinkers we change our Ale on a regular basis and there’s a great wine list too, with an interesting selection of wines from France, Spain, Italy and the New World. Around a dozen varieties are offered by the glass as well as the bottle. We’re known to be a dab hand at mixing a Bloody Mary, any time you like, but Sunday mornings seem to be a traditionally busy time for them!

Conveniently situated in Corn Street amongst the hustle and bustle of busy market town life, The Hollybush is warm and cosy inside. An open fire blazes in the bar, and the dining areas are intimate and welcoming. In the summer months, drinkers and diners overflow into the patio garden and covered deck area; patio heaters allow guests to relax alfresco into the night and extend the summer season well into the autumn.

Located in the garden, the Barn is a fabulous addition to The Hollybush as another dining room, which can also be hired for weddings, parties, live bands and business functions. An i-pod music system means you can bring your own music and make it a much more personal experience.
