Evans the Butchers of Langport

Evans is a traditional butcher based in Langport, Somerset. All our meat is sourced locally. Our supplier of Beef is SJ Hall from Taunton and they are usually Ruby Red cows. Our Lamb comes from Manor Farm in Hambridge and the organic Pork is from Tremlett Farm in Wellington. We can also supply you with any meat for that special, different meal. Every week there will be a selection in the shop, in addition to our standard fare. This could be anything from locally-shot Rabbit, Veal, or ready confit Duck quarters prepared by Peds, to Sweetbreads and Tripe. Our shop also has a delicatessen counter and we work hard to provide an excellent selection of accompaniments to complete any dining occasion; cheeses, biscuits for cheese, olives, pies, terrines, salamis, cooked meats, free range eggs, pickles, chutneys, sauces and much more.

We also have an outdoor catering service. Our speciality is hog-roasts, supplying your event with everything you will need for this excellent choice in catering for crowds! We will organise all the additions such as apple sauce and rolls for you if you require, and our chef Peds or Gareth will be happy to attend your event to carve and serve if you need either of them.
