Chorizo on TV

Hi folks,

For all those avid viewers of TV food programmes, have you noticed how many times chorizo is used in a recipe?

James Martin used chorizo on Saturday with cod and Rachel Allen used chorizo on Sunday in her Winter Vegetable Soup. I have done a bit more research and there are 34 recipes on the BBC website alone. Most of the recipes work best if you use fresh cooking chorizo rather than cured chorizo.
